I have taken a renewed interest, and even have another person in town here who has told me she will help gather information for this site, the Odessa Washington Chamber of Commerce www.odessachamber.net.

I am working a new layout, which was derived from the previous site designers Front Page. It looks horrible in Firefox. So I made it all using tables, I doubt it is 'compliant' but it works for IE and FF so I'm happy. The site I am working on is here www.odessachamber.net/no_fp, (Note the "no_fp", for no FrontPage lol) , and here http://www.odessachamber.net/no_fp/index_border.php.

I want to place the logo in the upper left corner, approximatly 225px by 225px, and fixed from a point like 15px from left cell corner and 15px from top cell corner. NOT from the browser window corner. It can't do that, because of a background the surrounds the page layout, to accommodate different monitor resolutions.
But it has to cross several table cells. An .css absolute image position will cross the cells, but its position is always fixed to the window corner, not the table corner. Any idea's? I have found nothing working on this most of the day....The logo image will be a transparent .gif, the current on is very crappy quick scan and convert to transparent .gif, nobody here in town has it as an electronic format, so I need to start from scratch. I just loaded one of my Xara CD's, now I have to learn how to work it  unsure But first, out to do my walk, in the falling snow eeeeek
